COVID-19 Updates from Six Twelve Family Dental

Covid-19 update 21st September 2021

As of 14th Aug 2021, the Australia Dental association (ADA) has recommended that dental practices remain at Level 1 restrictions but to defer ALL non-essential dental procedures. This is to reduce movements in the community for patients to leave their home for non-essential purposes.

Providing dental care to the community is considered an essential reason for leaving home under stay-at-home orders and therefore Six Twelve Family Dental will remain open with reduced opening hours from 9-4pm.

As of yesterday restrictions in the 12 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of concern were eased to align with the rest of Greater Sydney. As such, we will be providing essential dental treatments for our community.

Your appointment will be deferred if you fall under any of the below categories

  • You are experiencing any symptoms of Covid -19 which includes fever (37.5° or higher), cough, sore throat, shortness of breath (difficulty breathing), runny nose, loss of taste loss of smell
  • You or your family have been to a recent covid-19 exposure location
  • You or your family have had contact with a confirmed case of covid-19
  • You or your family are awaiting on your covid-19 test results
  • You have travelled interstate within the last 14 days
  • You have been advised to self-isolate by health authorities.

We will continue to take extra-precautionary measures which includes

  • Our whole team is FULLY- VACCINATED
  • QR code check-in for all patients and staff (Only the patient with the appointment will be allowed to attend. Minors are able to have one accompanying adult)
  • Face Masks must be worn before entering the clinic and are to remain on until just before the treatment
  • All visits are by appointment only and only confirmed once one of our friendly staff have appropriately screened and triaged the patient
  • Temperature checks upon arrival
  • Alcohol-based hand sanitiser upon arrival and as soon as treatment is completed
  • Peroxide mouth rinse prior to all treatments
  • Minimising patient contact in the waiting room

Our team is here to provide our support during this difficult time and will continue to update the situation based on government health advice. We urge everyone to stay safe, monitor for symptoms and follow the current covid-19 information closely.
